All monthly letters will be processed and mailed between the 10th and the 15th. This means, depending on your location, you should expect to find your letter in the mailbox before the end of the month. For our international customers, kindly expect to wait just a bit longer.

During the 1st week of each month, my time is filled with either traveling abroad or working in my studio creating each Letter From Afar! Painting, drawing, sketching, writing, researching... each letter is a process that requires time and focus.If you subscribe AFTER the 10th of the month, your first letter will mail in 2-5 business days.
Letters from Afar are sent all over the world via USPS. We cannot guarantee a delivery date and unfortunately, sometimes letters do get lost in transport. Please allow up to 21 days from your subscribing date to receive your letter (30 days for international). If it hasn't arrived by then, just send us a note via the question bubble in the bottom right corner and we'll be more than glad to send you another!
Your first letter will be mailed shortly after your first charge. Your subscription will then charge and mail each month between the 10th and the 15th.
All ages! Adults and children alike will enjoy getting snail mail and learning about new and interesting places. For very young children, however, we recommend reading the letters as bedtime stories.
We recommend one subscription per family. You are welcome to order one for each member of the family, but do keep in mind that they will be receiving the same letter.
Absolutely. The only difference is a slightly higher postage price - $1.40 for an international stamp.
Each month's letter will be about a new destination, written from an explorer's standpoint. They are meant to be primarily entertaining, with a fun, adventurous story line. All letters are based on actual places and will include factual & historical tidbits. They've been compared to getting a letter from a traveling friend!
Yes, you can. To cancel, skip a month, or change your address, simply create an account at checkout. From your account, you can complete any of the above tasks. And of course, if you have any questions, send us a note via the question bubble on the corner of the screen. If you did not create an account during checkout, you will checkout as a guest instead.... in which case you will need contact us to cancel or modify your subscription. To do so, simply click the question bubble in the bottom right corder of your screen.
